Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Donimalai was established in the year 1974. It is a co-educational institution affiliated to CBSE and run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
It is a Project Sector Vidyalaya located in the well maintained NMDC residential Township of sponsoring agency, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). The Vidyalaya is 65 kms away from Bellary Bus Stand.
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Donimalai started in the year 1974 (06 July 1974) with only few students. Now it has almost 965 students, a staff strength of around 40 employees and classes from 1st to 12th. Now during 2024-25 upto class X are having three sections. XI & XII classes have Science Stream and Commerce Stream.
True to the status of the sponsoring project, the Vidyalaya is bestowed with an elegant, functional-friendly school building with well-furnished class rooms This provides an ambient atmosphere for ease of learning and holistic development of the children and adequately equipped and well maintained infra-structural facilities focused on safety and hygienic requirements of the students.
